The Skills Development Program
is designed to equip unemployed women and young girls from the Kosovo community with market responsive self-reliance/livelihood skills, so as to become economically empowered and later help their families, and communities.
Our Tailoring skills training has so far benefited over 50 women in and around Kosovo.
Our Farm project grows food and other crops to support feeding program for our schools and the surplus produce is sold in order to sustain the farm activities.
Different crops are grown, e.g. maize, beans, potatoes, bananas, cassava, tomatoes, passion fruits, vegetables, etc. Over 400 children and 30 staff are fed through this program.
Matendo credit union is our micro finance bank which finances small loans with affordeable interest to our community project members. We also empower and educate jobless mothers and other community members to start-up business so they can sustain their families. our main goal is to break the poverty line in our slum area.
