Publisher My.com has announced that Revelation Online‘s Emollion Server will be merged with the Tidewater server on July 9th.
With the recent addition of server vs server PvP, the merge is seen as a necessary move to offer a better gameplay experience. The merging of the two servers will bolster Tidewater with more players to fight with in the server vs server battles called Imperial Wars against the Moonsea server.
Nexon has announced that the second Closed Beta of the English version of MapleStory 2 will begin on July 18th and run through the end of July. Invitations will be sent out on Monday, July 9th and Monday, July 16th. Those who are not selected can take their chances with giveaways of additional beta keys on MapleStory 2’s Twitter.
New dungeons, more quests and the Meret Market systems will be added for players to test. A limited number of Founder’s Packs will be sold by Nexon when Closed Beta 2 begins which will come with Closed Beta 2 access.
ArtCraft Entertainment has posted their mid-year checkpoint update for Crowfall which highlights the game’s progress so far in the first half of the year and announces content and dates that will come in the second half of the year and beyond. The post states that it’s clear that “the soft launch is not going to happen by the end of the year” as a result of more needed changes to core systems.
The team anticipates kicking off alpha testing at the end of the summer of 2018. After that, their march towards a beta phase will start.
The Wild West Online Facebook page and Steam page have been updated with a notice that the planned content patch that was supposed to release on June 15th has been delayed. On top of this, the free-to-play version has been postponed by an additional month.
The team behind the game has decided that the patch is not ready yet because “after 3 days of meticulous testing there was way too many bugs, that would alter your overall experience.”
“It was a team decision to postpone patch for up to one month, and make sure that we hit all goals we want with it. We’re very small team at the moment, so while we wanted to have more resources to put on it, we’re going with what we have – what is in line with game’s metrics.”
En Masse Entertainment has announced that Violet, the blue-haired, great-sword wielding playable character will be joining En Masse’s Closers roster on July 3rd. She is the final member of the Wolf Dogs team.
Violet’s entry is matched with the removal of the Fatigue system from Closers’ English version. The Fatigue system limited every player’s dungeon entries. With its removal, players will no longer need to pay for VIP subscriptions or obtain stamina related consumables to increase the limit on dungeon entries. This will allow them to spend more time pursuing achievements, beating back the inter-dimensional monster invasion and collecting elite loot.
Nexon has announced that MapleStory 2 will launch its second closed beta in July. An exact date will be shared in the coming weeks. The North American server will be split into two: one in the West Coast and one in the East Coast. A new Oceania server will be added for better gameplay experience in that region.
CBT2 will have loads of new challenging content for players to beat which includes new dungeons with ramped up difficulties. 4-player parties will be able to take on much more challenging Hard Adventure dungeons. Take on the massive Balrog in the new dungeon called Temple of Immortals. Defeating him will grant players with Epic Equipment that are needed to move further into the chain of progressively harder dungeons.
Citadel Studios is inviting entire guilds to experience the beta version of Legends of Aria. In exchange for reporting bugs and submitting feedback via their guild leaders at least three times, guild members will be able to play the indie-developed sandbox MMORPG for three weeks. Players will also need to keep their guild mates in check since “participants also agree that if one guild member is caught using an exploit after more than 24 hours without reporting it, the entire guild is subject to removal from the test”.
During the Xbox E3 2018 conference, Rare revealed that two new expansions for the piratical multiplayer game Sea of Thieves are coming in the months ahead. The first of the two expansions, Cursed Sails will be released in July and the second, Forsaken Shores will arrive in September.
The E3 2018 Trailer shown below confirms the release months and gives hints of the content that will be included in the expansions. Skeleton crews will plunder the seas and Forsaken Shores will introduce a new map.
