Mobile MMOs (mobile massively multiplayer online games) support large amounts of players that can interact with each other on the same server. Mobile RPGs (mobile role-playing games) allow players to assume the roles of characters and take control over many of their actions and whereabouts.
TERA Classic has added the first new class since the mobile MMORPG fully launched in South Korea in August. Developers of EVE Online CCP Games and Chinese game publishing and tech giant Netease have announced that EVE: Echoes, the new mobile sandbox MMORPG they are working on will be launching in 2019.
Korean gaming company Netmarble has announced that recruitment has begun in search of beta testers for the new Japanese mobile MMORPG TERA Origin. This mobile game is the fourth to be based on the TERA IP (The Realms of Arborea) after TERA M, TERA Classic and TERA Frontier. Closed beta testing will begin on July 2nd.
The developer of the popular sandbox MMORPG ArcheAge, XL Games has partnered with publisher Kakao Games to bring to life a new open-world mobile MMORPG called Moonlight Sculptor. Initially announced in 2016, the game is finally beginning to reveal itself with the first three artworks released.
Korean developer Pearl Abyss has announced that the open-world mobile MMORPG Black Desert Mobile will be launching globally in 2019. The game will be playable on both iOS and Android devices.
Later this summer, Korean video game publisher Kakao Games will officially launch TERA Classic in South Korea. Not to be confused with TERA EU’s classic server or TERA M, TERA Classic is an upcoming mobile MMORPG that aims to offer a similar gameplay experience to the original TERA on PC.
Players of TERA Classic will go through a new story in the same fantasy world as the original PC game. The game will have large open field areas, raid dungeons, parties, guilds, and action combat. It’s unknown if the game will have auto-play.
Nexon has released the latest major content update to the popular mobile MMORPG MapleStory M. Players are introduced to two new Explorer classes; the Buccaneer and the Marksman.
Publisher Webzen has sent word that their new mobile MMO MU Origin 2 is set to launch in North America and South America on May 28th.
