Moonlight Sculptor Is XLGames’ Next Open-world MMORPG In Development
The developer of the popular sandbox MMORPG ArcheAge, XL Games has partnered with publisher Kakao Games to bring to life a new open-world mobile MMORPG called Moonlight Sculptor. Initially announced in 2016, the game is finally beginning to reveal itself with the first three artworks released.
Moonlight Sculptor is based on the popular Korean light novel The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor by Heesung NAM. It is a story about a man’s struggle with MMORPGs and money. The main character auctioned his powerful MMORPG character for 3.1 billion Korean Won in order to pay off his family’s debt. Due to unfortunate events, he has lost almost all of the money, so he joins the first ever VRMMORPG in an attempt to beef up and auction a character again for money.
Moonlight Sculptor will be set in Royal Road, the world of the VRMMORPG that the protagonist of the light novel plays. The game is set to release in the second half of 2019.

Honestly the dev and publisher scream p2w but at the same time I love the manhua and would love to play the game….
