Free-to-play MMO DC Universe Online Nintendo Switch Release Date Set To August 6th

First announced back in May, DC Universe Online‘s Nintendo Switch release finally has a launch date. On August 6th, Switch players will be able to download the superhero-themed MMORPG. The game is set in various DC universes and features popular DC characters like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the Joker, and over 300 other DC characters across over 30 content episodes.

The Nintendo Switch will be DC Universe Online’s fourth platform. The game has been playable on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC for some time.

Will my account or characters transfer from other platforms to Switch?
No. Players will connect to DCUO using their Nintendo Accounts, which will not be linked to existing accounts.

Will DCUO on Switch be free-to-play?
Yes. As on other platforms, DCUO will be free-to-play on Switch.

Will DCUO on Switch allow crossplay?
DCUO will launch on Switch with a brand-new, fresh server, separate from all other communities. We look forward to exploring crossplay options in the future.
