Nexon has announced that MapleStory M, the recently launched mobile MMORPG rendition of MapleStory has been received a large content update that brings three new explorer classes to the game, equipment enhancements systems and more. The three new classes are the close-combat dagger-wielding damage-dealer known as the Shadower, the two-handed sword wielder called Hero, and the Ice and Lightning magician called Arch Mage.

Nexon has announced that MapleStory M, the mobile version of the popular MMORPG MapleStory has been downloaded over three million times since it launched globally on July 24th. On the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, the game has reached #1 in highest grossing games in several countries including Taiwan and Singapore.

In celebration of reaching 3 million downloads, Maplers can participate in in-game giveaway events until August 10th 23:59 PT. Players can gain Gold Leaves, 10 Orange EXP tickets, Kiddie Garden Outfits, 300 MP Potions, 300 HP Potions and more as rewards for playing the game.

MapleStory M (Mobile) Begins Pre-Registrations For Global Free-to-play Release In 2018

Originally released in South Korea, MapleStory M has finally begun its long-awaited attempt to breach the global market by accepting pre-registrations. Players can expect the game to release as free-to-play on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store for iOS and Android mobile devices sometime in 2018. Pre-registrations can be done through Nexon’s official MapleStory M site.

MapleStory M has already soft-launched in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Philippines, and Indonesia on May 28, 2018. The global launch in 2018 will be available in over 140 different countries. Players who pre-register for the global release will be rewarded with unique equipment and cosmetics.

Nexon’s Q1 2018 Earnings Report Reveals Upcoming MMORPGs For Q2 2018 Pipeline (MapleStory 2, AxE, Final Fantasy XI Mobile)

Pearl Abyss and NCSoft had their turn of revelations and now it’s Nexon’s turn to show us how their games performed in Q1 of 2018 and what they have in line for the months ahead. The Tokyo-based developer and publisher raised a record-breaking ¥90.5 billion in revenue for the quarter that was “primarily driven by strong performance of Dungeon & Fighter in China around the Lunar New Year season”. PC revenue (84%) outperformed mobile revenue (16%) by a mile. China is responsible for a whopping (67%) of their total revenue for this quarter and Korea behind it with (22%). North America and Europe/others are far behind with a whopping (4%) per recognized region.
