Just recently, Phil Spencer, the head of the Xbox brand has confirmed that the game will eventually end up on all platforms. Spencer revealed the news to Giant Bomb’s Jeff Gerstmann during the 50-minute interview focused on the PSO2’s exciting Western reveal.
PSO2’s English version has been widely anticipated by fans of the popular Phantasy Star RPG saga since Phantasy Star Online 2 was first released exclusively in Japan nearly seven years ago in July 2012.
Phantasy Star Online’s story diverges from the mainline Phantasy Star series as the story moves to a completely new planet. Players take on a world where combat mixes futuristic technology and magic together. Gameplay consists mainly of challenging instanced dungeons and giant bosses in small groups or as a solo players to complete missions. The game will support up to 12 players in a single mission.
