With the Shadowbringers expansion on the horizon, Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy XIV Online is now on sale for 50% off. The complete edition, available on PC and PS4 is now $29.99 and includes all game expansions (A Realm Reborn, Heavensward, Stormblood). The last expansion, Stormblood is also on sale for 50% off going from $39.99 to $19.99. The sale will end on May 6th, 2019 at 11:59 PM PDT.

This sale will undoubtedly attract old and new players to the Final Fantasy XIV and help boost the playerbase before Shadowbringers, the next game expansion arrives on July 2nd, 2019.

The offer is available from February 4th to May 3rd and only applies to the PC/Mac version, not PS4. Trial players can play all the way through level 50. To play after the trial, you’ll have to pay the $12.99 monthly fee.

The yearly list of the 100 best selling games on Steam for 2018 as measured by gross revenue has been posted and as usual, a handful MMORPGs have been included. They are the games that made the most revenue on the platform this year. The list is categorized into tiers of Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze.

Likely due to the Summerset expansion in June and Murkmire/Wolfhunter content, The Elder Scrolls Online climbed from last year’s Gold tier ranking to this year’s Platinum tier, the highest level on the list. ESO is joined by Warframe in the Platinum tier.

Nexon’s Q1 2018 Earnings Report Reveals Upcoming MMORPGs For Q2 2018 Pipeline (MapleStory 2, AxE, Final Fantasy XI Mobile)

Pearl Abyss and NCSoft had their turn of revelations and now it’s Nexon’s turn to show us how their games performed in Q1 of 2018 and what they have in line for the months ahead. The Tokyo-based developer and publisher raised a record-breaking ¥90.5 billion in revenue for the quarter that was “primarily driven by strong performance of Dungeon & Fighter in China around the Lunar New Year season”. PC revenue (84%) outperformed mobile revenue (16%) by a mile. China is responsible for a whopping (67%) of their total revenue for this quarter and Korea behind it with (22%). North America and Europe/others are far behind with a whopping (4%) per recognized region.

Final Fantasy XIV Lodestone has posted a new Developers’ Blog in regards to the upcoming Under the Moonlight update that will come on May 22, 2018. The new update will bring “quality of life improvements that will surely enhance your FFXIV experience”.

  • If you’ve ever been locked out of a boss room, then you know how frustrating it can be to stand behind a gate and listen to your team-mates beat the final dungeon boss. Now players will be able to force entry into boss rooms.
  • Pets will no longer have the same marker as party member characters and will receive a unique new marker.
  • A new Achievements tab will now show any achievements that are near completion and achievements that can be achieved within the character’s location.
  • The warning message that is shown when a party leader queues for savage raid content that is past the party member’s raid progression will receive an additional confirmation prompt.
