101XP has announced that the new Eternal Magic MMORPG is about to start its open beta on September 26th. Two servers will open at the start: Sagittarius [NA] and Andromeda [EU]. The game recently ended its 11-day closed beta on September 15th which had a level limit of 50. In the open beta, players will be allowed to level up to 60. Those who played during the closed beta will find their characters’ items reset. However, anything gained from the open beta will be theirs to keep.

Caravan Stories, the anime-styled MMORPG popular in Japan, has officially launched as a free-to-play game in North America on the PlayStation 4 console. The NA version supports English text and Japanese audio. Caravan Stories is currently available for PlayStation 4 in Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand as well. The game is known for its impressive art style, for having a wide variety of playable races from Orcs to Dwarves, and for its old-school JRPG style of progression.

Bless Unleashed Open Beta Launches On Xbox One In November With Slightly Improved Combat

Bless Unleashed, the console MMORPG based on the same lore and world as was in the recently shut down Bless Online, is nearly ready  to launch. Publisher Bandai Namco announced that Bless Unleashed will launch on the Xbox One on November 7th. The open beta will run for two weeks through November 21st.

Jason Park, Head of Development at Neowiz’s Round 8 Studio writes in a development letter that “the community was very vocal about its feelings toward the combat system in Bless Unleashed and overall game pacing” and that exciting changes have been made to improve the game for the players.

Nexon Cancels Peria Chronicles Release And Stops Development Of The Game

After years of staying under the radar, earlier in May of this year, a select group of players in Korea were finally chosen to conduct closed testing of Nexon’s sandbox MMORPG Peria Chronicles. Now, four months later, Korean news source Invenglobal reports that Nexon has announced that “after much discussion, the development of ‘Peria Chronicles’ is stopped.”

Several internal and external tests were conducted for Peria Chronicles and Nexon concluded that the current stage of the game could not satisfy players. The project is now cancelled.

Astellia Launch Date Set & Previews Gender Unlocked Classes

Fantasy MMORPG Astellia is now set to officially launch in the West on September 27th. Astellia’s English version will be fully available as a buy-to-play game with a number of differences to the free-to-play Asian version.

Several classes that are gender-locked in Korea will not be gender-locked in the English version. Developer and publisher Barunson E&A promises to provide free one time gender swap vouchers when they launch alternative genders for the classes that do not get gender-unlocked during the launch.

Bandai Namco revealed a new anime-styled MMO called Blue Protocol earlier this month and it has accumulated quite a bit of hype so far, amongst Western fans included. Over the past several weeks, lots of teasers for the new MMO in development were released including a gameplay trailer and a character creation video. The game is in Japanese and already conducted alpha tests in Japan this month.

Dragon’s Dogma Online Is Shutting Down In Japan

 Dragon’s Dogma Online, Capcom’s high fantasy MMORPG for the PC, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4 is scheduled to shut down in Japan on December 5th. The game initially launched in Japan on August 31, 2015 and never made it out to other regions. Capcom states that they have tried to support the game for players but it has become difficult to continue to provide satisfactory service.
