Fans of the sci-fi action MMORPG Defiance will be able to play the overhauled reboot of the game, Defiance 2050, next month! This next chapter in the Defiance universe will have its closed beta on April 20 to 22 for PC, Xbox One and PS4 players. The game is still set for a full release in the summer of this year.
What’s that? You want a release date? Nope, nothing more than “possibly this” and “probably that” for now. Last we heard of Peria Chronicles, we were supposed to get some important news in December of last year and so far that’s still a no-show. Worry not however, when a date is finally announced for this game, we will let you know right away and swiftly update our Alphas, Betas and Release Dates page.
Now on to the super smart NPCs. ThingSoft, the developers of Peria Chronicles will be applying an artificial intelligence system that is currently being developed by Nexon Korea to the game’s NPCs. This AI will allow the NPCs to automatically generate missions and other content for players.
Details as to how this will work were not mentioned, but I can guess that these smart NPCs may create based on surrounding player activity. This will be a sweet addition to the list of advanced sand-box features of Peria that include player-made dungeons and player-programmed mechanisms like elevators.
Soulbound Studios has just revealed and shared the first iteration of the character creation process in the currently in-development indie MMORPG Chronicles of Elyria. They’ve showed an in-depth look at different parts of the character creator and explained many important and unique features that the game offers, like the effects of a character’s birth date.

Shroud of the Avatar, the crowdfunded MMORPG made by developers who worked on classic MMOs such as Ultima Online is now finally launching on March 27, 2018. The game was already considered by many to be at a soft-launch for some time and was seen by many as the spiritual successor to Ultima Online.
“Trapped in a foreign world.. Tessa kept reminding us of the dangers that lurked in the shadows.. They are coming.“ Skyforge propels its next expansion titled Overgrowth with an awesome cinematic trailer. The expansion will be available on April 11 for PC and April 12 for PS4 and Xbox One.
The new playable class called “Grovewalkers” will be in this update along with a new Challenge System for completing optional tasks for various rewards.

Earlier this week, Elder Games Studio launched the open beta of Project: Gorgon on Steam on March 12, 2018. The game is known for staying true to classic gameplay experience, having little to no training wheels or hand-holding, as well as adult content and humorous quests.
So far the reviews are at the Very Positive level with most pros including the old school gameplay vibes, class-less progression, extensive crafting and adult humor. The cons are overwhelmingly about the graphics being outdated, but also lots of mentions of the $40 pricing being too high for what the game has to offer. Take into consideration that players have only had less than a week to play the game, so we will keep an eye and see how the ratings evolve. ArcheAge is making the skies of Erenor a little more dangerous with the upcoming ArcheAge: Legends Return 4.5 update on April 5th (4.5 update on 4/5…). Now you may remember that the last major update, the 4.0 Maelstorm Update, came only a few months ago in December.
So what’s the rush? Why is 4.5 here so soon? Well, XL Games is prioritizing the North American and European regions this time around and plan to launch the update before the Russian and Chinese regions. That is atypical, as usually updates start in Korea, get to Russia and China a few months later, and then Westerners get the updates about two to four months after that.
