Albion Online’s Queen Update Is The Largest Since Launch

On January 20th, PvP-oriented MMORPG Albion Online will launch its biggest update since the game was released in 2017. Titled Queen, the update will bring the new Hideout system that lets guilds operate in underground bases within the Outlands. An entirely new faction, the ancient Avalonians will also be added to the game. Players can fight against them in the new Elite Randomized Dungeons for powerful week-long buffs and Avalonian Shards (used for crafting the game’s most powerful Artifact Armor).

Albion Online Gets Three New Major Outland Regions & Additional Marketplace Cluster

Albion Online‘s latest Midseason Patch (Oberon Patch 5) is live and it comes with three new regions for players to explore. Players now also have more flexibility with urgent access to territories since they can now remove their portal bindings (the lock to a city’s Outlands portal) every 30 days. The update also brings changes to Siege Camps, UI, an additional Marketplace Cluster to Caerleon, balance changes to combat, and more.

Albion Online Is Expanding World Size To Allow New Players To Claim Land

In celebration of Albion Online’s free-to-play launch, Sandbox Interactive has announced that they will add a massive expansion to Albion’s world soon. The Outland Expansion will add three new regions in total; Siluria (equivalent in size and value to Cumbria), and West and East Glouvia (equivalent in size and value to West and East Anglia, respectively).

Albion Online‘s upcoming new areas are intended to give new players a chance to claim land for themselves when they launch with GvG Season 6 in early May. A massive rework to the Outlands region is also planned to be added later this year that will further increase the world’s size.

Albion Online Will Be Free-to-play On April 10th – Veteran Players To Get Exclusive Specter Wolf Mount

Albion Online is opening its gates to all willing players next month! On April 10th, the indie-developed sandbox MMORPG will become a free-to-play game. The change will apply to all platforms. A new generation of players will join the fight in the PvP-heavy world of Albion.

The Specter Wolf mount will be given as an exclusive thank you gift to all veteran players with Founder or Starter Packs. The Specter Wolf has all of the stats of a Direwolf, but with a ghostly look.

As announced in March, the crowd-funded sandbox MMORPG Albion Online is making its way to a Steam release, and now they have revealed the date for it: May 16, 2018. The Steam platform comes with wide array of perks and what is possibly the main appeal for players of Albion is the instant increase in player population. This will surely rock the boat since Albion is a game where a significant chunk of your time is spent looking for fellow players to engage in PvP with.

On top of the the typical Steam features like achievements, as thanks to the veteran players of Albion Online, all achievements developed for the Steam launch will be obtainable by players that are using the native game client. Additionally, all players will receive a week-long Fame boost, giving 25% more Fame for all activities like gathering, crafting, killing mobs, and more. Fame is used for leveling up your adventure level.
