MapleStory 2 Will Have Twice As Many Accepted Testers In Closed Beta 2 For Server Stress Tests

Nexon has announced that the next play session for MapleStory 2 will be another closed beta. The second closed beta will focus on stress testing Nexon’s servers so they are planning to double the number of accepted testers in comparison to the first closed beta. The first closed beta session lasted for one week from May 9th to May 16th. Nexon has yet to reveal when the second closed beta will begin or how long it will last.

MapleStory M (Mobile) Begins Pre-Registrations For Global Free-to-play Release In 2018

Originally released in South Korea, MapleStory M has finally begun its long-awaited attempt to breach the global market by accepting pre-registrations. Players can expect the game to release as free-to-play on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store for iOS and Android mobile devices sometime in 2018. Pre-registrations can be done through Nexon’s official MapleStory M site.

MapleStory M has already soft-launched in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Philippines, and Indonesia on May 28, 2018. The global launch in 2018 will be available in over 140 different countries. Players who pre-register for the global release will be rewarded with unique equipment and cosmetics.

Pearl Abyss and NCSoft had their turn of revelations and now it’s Nexon’s turn to show us how their games performed in Q1 of 2018 and what they have in line for the months ahead. The Tokyo-based developer and publisher raised a record-breaking ¥90.5 billion in revenue for the quarter that was “primarily driven by strong performance of Dungeon & Fighter in China around the Lunar New Year season”. PC revenue (84%) outperformed mobile revenue (16%) by a mile. China is responsible for a whopping (67%) of their total revenue for this quarter and Korea behind it with (22%). North America and Europe/others are far behind with a whopping (4%) per recognized region.

The closed beta testing phase of the English version of MapleStory 2 has begun for those who have been accepted to participate. CBT will run for one week from May 9th to May 16th. Nexon has prepared a wide array of special events to keep players busy in that period. We’re talking about attendance check events, level-up events, world boss events, pet fishing and more. Some of which will give rewards that can be claimed in future betas and when MapleStory 2 is fully released. MapleStory 2 Closed Beta Download Is Now Available, Beta Times Revealed

The first English closed beta of MapleStory 2 will begin in just 2 days on May 9th. The final round of invites have already gone out and pre-download has begun for those who have been accepted to play. MapleStory 2 is accessible only through the Nexon Launcher. Installing the game requires ~8.7 GB of free disk space.

MapleStory 2‘s English global version will start its first closed beta next week on May 9th and Nexon has just sent out the 2nd wave of CBT invitations. Players chosen to participate in the closed beta testing phase will be able to download the game client on May 7, 2018. If you weren’t chosen, make sure you are registered on the MapleStory 2 site for a chance at the third and final round of invitations which will be released before the game client is available for download.

MapleStory 2 Korean Version (KMS2) Is Getting Battle Royale PvP Mode

MapleStory 2 has drawn a lot of attention lately with the highly anticipated English version’s closed beta announced to arrive globally on May 9th. What you may not know is that MapleStory 2 already has two other existing and regularly updated versions; the Chinese version and the slightly older Korean version. Well, we all know where the money is in the gaming industry at the moment, so it’s not too surprising to hear that even the adorable Maple world is set have a battle royale PvP mode.

Nicknamed Mush King Championship, the survival PvP mode will allow up to 50 people to join a special arena where they will eliminate each other until only a single player remains. You can watch the Korean developer’s video below to see it in action (starting at 0:30 in the video).
