ArcheAge, RIFT & Defiance Publisher Trion Worlds Has Been Acquired By Gamigo

Trion Worlds, known for publishing and developing MMOs such as ArcheAge, Defiance and Rift has been acquired by Gamigo, a Germany-based game publisher known for publishing free-to-play MMOs and browser games. The official statement posted on the Rift forums says that Trion will be under new ownership, but the games they publish will continue on in capable hands.

The acquisition involves letting go of some of Trion’s staff. The full extent and details of the transition has yet to be revealed. For more information, visit the official Rift forums and Trion Worlds site.

Defiance 2050 Release Date Set To July 10th For PC, Xbox One & PS4, Open Beta Begins On June 22nd

Trion Worlds has announced that Defiance 2050 will release on July 10th with a head start beginning on July 6th for Xbox one, PlayStation 4 and PC. Founder’s Packs with exclusive outfits, titles and access to the head start are available to pre-order now on PC and will be available to pre-order on June 19th for Xbox One and on July 6th for PlayStation 4. A short open beta period will commence on June 22nd and end on June 25th for PC players. The open beta will allow players to experience new base classes, weapon enhancements and progression systems.

Defiance 2050 Shows Off Large Kill Count & Player Numbers From Closed Beta

The first closed beta of Defiance 2050 is over and Trion Worlds, the game’s developer and publisher has posted a statistical “Fun Facts” list to show us what the closed beta testers managed to achieve. While they boast a whopping 3.45 million dead Hellbugs killed so far, they also reassure that they are fixing bugs and improving server stability for the upcoming launch this summer. As the launch approaches, Trion Worlds states that they will share information in regards to new class abilities, graphic updates, itemization updates and more. There is still no announcement for the next beta event and the launch date.

Defiance 2050 Delays Console Closed Beta, PC Closed Beta Still On April 20

Trion Worlds has announced that the console portion of Defiance 2050’s closed beta will be delayed to “optimize the experience for all players”. Defiance fan will still be able to play and test the closed beta on their PCs from April 20 to April 22 as originally scheduled.

Defiance 2050 is a massively multiplayer online sci-fi action shooter and is the overahauled reboot of its MMORPG counterpart Defiance. It is set in a post-apocalyptic world, packed with advanced ark technology. You team up in co-op activities to explore a terra-formed world, fight against fellow Ark hunters and complete hundreds story missions.

Defiance 2050 Closed Beta Will Be On April 20 – Sign Ups Available

Fans of the sci-fi action MMORPG Defiance will be able to play the overhauled reboot of the game, Defiance 2050, next month! This next chapter in the Defiance universe will have its closed beta on April 20 to 22 for PC, Xbox One and PS4 players. The game is still set for a full release in the summer of this year.
